- Responsible for patient’s observation and assessment such as:
- Receives patient into treatment area.
- Weighs patient and record.
- Assist in monitoring of vital signs every 30 minutes.
- Report to the nurses on duty any irregularities of vital signs.
- Assist patient needs.
- Performs direct pressure post-dialysis to the access of the patient.
- Performs clerical duties as needed which may include: assist in filing, answering phones, assist in inventory of supplies at the treatment area, photocopy of documents, assist in maintaining patient charts (includes thinning).
- Should have a functional Understanding of dialysis machines.
- Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned in relation to the position.
- All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
